Closing of the Bones
A nurturing postpartum ritual to honour your body, your birth, and the transition into motherhood.
The Closing of the Bones is a traditional postpartum practice designed to offer a sense of being held, supported, and gently gathered after the transformative experience of pregnancy and birth.
Using a rebozo, the body is gently wrapped, rocked, and held in a series of slow and nurturing movements. The ritual creates a quiet space to rest, reconnect with your body, and honour everything you have been through.
This deeply grounding experience can be a beautiful way to mark the transition from birth into postpartum, offering time to slow down, receive care, and reconnect with yourself.
The session may support:
Deep relaxation and grounding
A feeling of physical and emotional containment
Reconnection with the body after birth
Releasing tension and creating space to rest
Honouring the transition into motherhood
A nurturing moment of self-care during the postpartum period
Every session is gentle, respectful, and adapted to your individual needs and stage of postpartum recovery.
The Closing of the Bones can be experienced as a standalone postpartum ritual or combined with other holistic postpartum therapies.
